My New Exercise Routine - Pilates!

🙋🏻‍♀️ I haven’t ridden a bike since this photo was taken over the summer… BUT 🚴‍♂️

… I *have *been doing another form of exercise — Pilates!

And I’m actually really enjoying it, which is very surprising to me because exercise has never been an important part of my routine.

(Well, I was on the varsity badminton team in high school, so I guess I did do a lot of exercise at one point — but it’s been almost a decade since then 😅)

For the past month or so, though, I’ve been doing Pilates consistently once a week. And during each hour-long session, I’ve honestly felt *really good*!

(My Pilates teacher also says I’m a ✨natural✨ which definitely makes me feel especially good about doing it hahaha)

And after each session, I’ve been feeling quite literally more grounded — more in touch with my bodily self (which I definitely can feel out of touch with at times), as well as with the world around me.

It feels awesome to be dedicating an hour each week to grounding and strengthening myself, and prioritizing my body in this way that I don’t usually do.

Even better, I know I *deserve* this form of bodily self-care — and I love being able to give it to myself.

So I’d never thought I’d say this, but exercise is officially part of my weekly routine!! 😁
